Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in London is seeking a skilled Shift Engineer responsible for delivering routine preventative maintenance across HV/LV distribution, plant, and HVAC systems.

You will monitor BMS, address air conditioning issues, perform meter readings, and prepare timely reports to ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires an electrical apprenticeship or degree, with CMMS/BMS experience and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum three years related industry experience.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record for applicable vehicles.
• Experience with MS Office applications.
• Great building services knowledge and experience in critical environments.
• Time served electrical apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• HV switching qualification/experience.
• 17th Edition IEE Regulations.
• ACoPs L8.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine planned preventive maintenance tasks across HV and LV distribution systems, plant and equipment, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) for running and alarm conditions.
• Attend to air conditioning-related client issues.
• Conduct building walk-rounds, take meter readings, and investigate faults.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports; ensure repairs comply with regulations.
• Assist with installation works and participate in emergency call-out rosters.
• Develop understanding of portfolio buildings, layouts, functions, and complexities.
• Build relationships with Facilities Managers and client staff.
