Job description
Overview

Senior SHEQ Manager – based at the factory in Burntwood. HSE Recruitment are working with a growing manufacturing company to recruit for this role as they enter a positive transition phase in management and continue ambitious growth plans, including opening a new factory.

Reporting into the Ops Director and managing a team of 3, you will lead the SHEQ function for the business across the factory. You will shape and implement the Health, Safety, Environment and Quality strategy while overseeing the management of SHEQ policies, plans, systems and training.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the team, setting and communicating the vision.
  • Work closely with other departments to achieve objectives, systems compliance, safety and quality culture and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the business meets legislative requirements and codes of practice while monitoring and reporting on department performance, guiding best practice and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety management systems that align with the requirements of current ISO standards.
What we are looking for
  • Experienced HSE Manager with people management experience.
  • Manufacturing experience is essential – ideally chemical, pharma or FMCG, but other manufacturing sectors will be considered.
  • NEBOSH Certificate level qualified as a minimum, with the experience level required for the role.
  • ISO 14001 systems experience would be advantageous.
Salary

The salary on offer is up to £70,000 DOE + package.
