Metra Surveying are currently seeking a Senior Setting-Out Engineer

Location: London, England, UK

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Setting out gridlines and datums from engineers’ drawings, site surveys and as-built drawings.
• Installation of site control
• Liaise with clients to develop and maintain good working relationships to ensure repeat business
• Working closely with management through the entire workflow from quoting to delivery of projects
• Responsible for checking and training other team members
• Regular status reports and updates with Senior Management
• Develop and maintain professional working relationships with all personnel
• Ensure all works are carried out to the highest quality standards
• Health and safety conscious
• Maintaining site records

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in site engineering.
• Survey control expert high skilled in traversing, digital level and laser plummet.
• Looking to take on management responsibilities within 12 months
• Civil Engineering degree or related discipline (Desirable)
• Laser scanning and HP Site Print experience (Desirable)
• Traverse processing software knowledge (Desirable)
• Highly motivated with excellent communication and organisation skills
• Proficient in the use of Robotic total station, GPS, Laser Plummet and levelling equipment.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
• CSCS and Manual Driving Licence required
• Willingness to learn new technologies

Salary: Competitive, based on experience.
