The post holder will manage and lead Service Improvement and Governance compliance across Medical/Surgical services within the acute division. Working to embed a culture of continuous improvement. Integrating Governance development, implementation, monitoring and review as a service imperative.

What we'll need you to bring

Knowledge

  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Experience

  • Significant experience of working within a clinical service at a senior level delivering service change.
  • Significant experience of working at a senior management level within the NHS.
  • Proven experience in achieving significant service improvement in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex relationships to achieve and deliver service change.
  • Proven experience of successful programme management.
  • Significant demonstrable experience in the alignment of governance compliance as a pre requisite requirement within service improvement.

Skills

  • Expert understanding of a range of clinical best practice and service improvement techniques and methodologies.

It would be great if you also have

  • Evidence of management education and training
  • Demonstrable knowledge of budget management and business planning
  • Knowledge of waiting times management within a healthcare setting

Contract type

Fixed Term or Secondment

Full time

37 hours

Please note this is a fixed term post for 1 Year. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based in Medical Directorate within University Hospital Monklands.

The working pattern for this role: Monday to Friday
