Job summary

Nationwide Platforms Ltd. is seeking a Senior Service Engineer to lead the workshop team and support the Location Service Manager in maintaining our modern hire fleet. You will perform PDIs, manage workload, and ensure safety and quality standards across the service workshop.

Ideal candidates have supervisory experience in a busy workshop, plus a background in Powered Access, and NVQ level 3 or equivalent. A strong focus on customer service and problem solving is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a busy workshop and ability to set high standards.
• Experience in Powered Access industry or other construction plant hire.
• NVQ level 3 or equivalent in maintenance/engineering discipline.
• Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure.
• Experience in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is desirable.
• Good interpersonal skills and understanding of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Location Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Ensure 100% coverage for servicing and maintenance of the hire fleet.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) at depot or on site as required.
• Produce monthly plant inspection reports and service schedules; organise workload of engineers.
• Maintain the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard.
• Offer guidance and support in response to customer breakdown calls.
• Locate spares required, ensuring CE rating where applicable is not compromised.
• Follow the Quality and Health and Safety policy guidelines.
• Maintain basic stock control for workshop spares.
• Identify training and development needs of workshop personnel.
• Support depot engineers with technical help and advice.

Senior Service Engineer

We require an experienced and qualified Senior Service Engineer to join our team. Working alongside the Location Service Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering team and contributing to the smooth running of this busy workshopin order to maintain our fleet and meetcustomer expectations.

Responsibilities include: -

• Assisting the Location Service Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of this busy workshop.
• Ensure 100% coverage for the servicing and maintenance of our modern hire fleet.
• Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of each machine is carried out at depot or on site as required.
• Produce monthly plant inspection reports and service schedule and organise workload of engineers to ensure all work is completed in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain the appearance of the fleet to corporate standard
• Offer guidance and support in response to customer breakdown calls.
• Locate spares required, ensuring that CE rating, where applicable is not compromised.
• Follow the guidelines set out in the Quality and Health and Safety policy.
