Senior Service Engineer

We require an experienced and qualified Senior Service Engineer to join our team. Working alongside the Location Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading the engineering team and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy workshop to maintain our fleet and meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Location Service Manager in the day-to-day running of the workshop.
• Ensuring 100% coverage for servicing and maintenance of our hire fleet.
• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines at depot or on-site.
• Producing monthly inspection reports and service schedules, organizing workload for engineers.
• Maintaining the fleet's appearance to corporate standards.
• Providing guidance and support during customer breakdowns.
• Locating spares, ensuring CE rating compliance where applicable.
• Following Quality and Health & Safety policies.
• Maintaining stock control for workshop spares.
• Identifying training needs for workshop staff.
• Supporting depot engineers with technical advice.

About you:

• Supervisory experience in a busy workshop, with the ability to set high standards.
• Experience in Powered Access or construction plant hire industries.
• NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent in maintenance/engineering.
• Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
