Estate Property Accountant – Large-Scale Mixed-Use Asset

Senior-level | Property / Service Charge Accounting

A high-profile mixed-use destination asset in West London is appointing an experienced Estate Property Accountant to take ownership of rental income, service charge accounting and financial controls across a complex, operational environment.

This role sits at the heart of the estate’s finance function and offers genuine breadth, autonomy and visibility. The estate is part‑way through a multi‑year redevelopment and operational transformation, making this a compelling opportunity for a property accountant who enjoys scale, complexity and process improvement.

You will act as a key finance partner to estate leadership, tenants, auditors and operational teams, with responsibility for both day‑to‑day control and longer‑term improvements to systems and reporting.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Full ownership of rental billing, receipting and tenant ledgers
• Completion statements, insurance and utilities recharges
• Funding requests and tenant query management

Service Charge

• End‑to‑end responsibility for service charge budgets, quarterly accounts and year‑end reconciliations
• Apportionment setup, billing and balancing charges
• Improving service charge models, commentary and reporting standards

Treasury & Controls

• Bank reconciliations, rent deposits and supplier payments
• OPEX funding oversight and cash controls
• Month‑end reporting, journals, VAT and CIS

Systems & Process Improvement

• Lease and property data onboarding and maintenance
• Driving improvements within Yardi (reporting, workflows, data integrity)
• Supporting wider initiatives around PO management and audit frameworks

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience as a Senior Property Accountant or Service Charge Accountant within a complex commercial or mixed‑use estate
• Solid understanding of RICS service charge regulations, VAT and CIS
