The Role
We're looking to recruit a Senior SEO & Website Optimisation Specialist to lead technical SEO and on‑page optimisation across our client portfolio, own website performance and conversion rate optimisation, and help shape how we use AI and emerging tools to stay ahead in both traditional search and the newer world of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out technical SEO audits and page-level optimisation across a range of client websites
- Identify and resolve crawlability, indexation, site structure and Core Web Vitals issues
- Translate technical findings into clear, prioritised recommendations for clients and internal teams
Keyword Research & On-Page Optimisation
- Carry out keyword research to inform content, page structure and optimisation priorities
- Optimise on-page elements (titles, metadata, headings, internal linking) to improve rankings and relevance
- Support the content team in identifying topics and formats with the strongest SEO and GEO (Generative
- Advise on how content should be structured so it performs well in traditional search and AI-generated answers
- Own website performance and conversion rate optimisation across client sites, improving key user journeys from landing to conversion
- Use tools such as Microsoft Clarity to analyse on‑site user behaviour and identify friction points
- Review landing pages and core conversion paths, identifying friction points and recommending improvements
- Work with design and development to implement website changes arising from SEO, CRO and UX findings
Analytics & Tracking
- Set up and manage Google Tag Manager, including triggers and event configurations
- Set up and manage Google Analytics (GA4), including conversion tracking and integrations with other
- platforms
- Build clear reporting that connects SEO, CRO and website activity to visibility, traffic and conversion
- outcomes
- Use tools such as SEMrush and Screaming Frog as part of day‑to‑day analysis and optimisation
- Explore and evaluate new tools for SEO analysis, optimisation and AI‑assisted workflows, bringing
- recommendations back to the team
Website & CMS
- Work across a range of CMS platforms, primarily WordPress, to implement SEO changes directly
- Liaise with developers and account managers where changes require broader website support
Skills & Experience
Essential (4+ years experience)
- Proven experience delivering technical SEO and page optimisation, ideally in an agency or multi‑client environment
- Strong, hands‑on keyword research and on‑page optimisation skills
- Strong understanding of website user journeys and landing page optimisation
- Practical experience setting up and managing Google Tag Manager, including custom triggers
- Practical experience setting up and managing Google Analytics (GA4), including conversions and integrations
- Confident using SEMrush, SE Ranking, Screaming Frog or similar SEO tools
- Comfortable working across multiple CMS platforms, with strong working knowledge of WordPress
- A genuine interest in how SEO and AI/GEO visibility are evolving together
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to explain technical topics clearly to non‑technical audiences
- Experience in sales or presales, including presenting and explaining SEO strategy to clients
- An interest in developing and using new website‑building tools
- An interest in developing processes using automation tools such as Make, and AI engines such as Claude
- Ambition to help build and grow Cyberlogical's SEO and website optimisation function, with a view to becoming Head of SEO and leading a team
