Summit is a leading digital marketing agency who specialise in online retailing, and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior SEO Content Executive to join us on a full-time basis with hybrid working (2 days in our fantastic office) located near the beautiful Fruit Market and Marina area of Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

We offer flexible start and finish times as well as having every other Friday off*. We trust our people to work flexibly around their lifestyle and family arrangements. Summiteers are asked to attend our office in the C4DI complex in Hull, Fruit Market 2 days per week, the rest of the week can be done from home. For the right candidate, we may also consider greater flexibility around office time.

About the role

As the Senior SEO Content Executive, you will be supporting Content Managers to manage content marketing activity for our clients, helping to execute our strategy in line with client objectives. Tracking and reporting on performance according to relevant targets and KPIs; investigating and troubleshooting where necessary. Regularly communicating with client(s), cultivating a positive and collaborative working relationship.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

• Implement content marketing activities, working with the Content Manager to manage content marketing activity in line with client objectives, inc. editorial, ecommerce, and outreach activity.
• Own and complete all business-as-usual (BAU) tasks to a high standard, identifying ways they could be improved and making suggestions to the Content Manager as appropriate.
• Ensure all tasks in workload management tools (e.g. Asana) are updated in an accurate and timely manner.
• Use multiple content marketing tools/platforms, e.g. Semrush, Sitebulb, Screaming Frog and Search Console, to ensure accurate delivery and reporting of client performance, troubleshooting issues and escalating them as needed.
• Identify issues and opportunities in performance, working with the Content Manager, strategy and product teams to identify and implement recommended solutions.
• Be responsible for ensuring planned work is completed on time and to a high standard.
• Report on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

About You

As our Senior SEO Content Executive, you will have a basic understanding of marketing principles, developed through work experience, graduate/online courses, vocational qualifications or similar. As well as effective communication skills with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

Other key attributes include:

• At least a year of experience working producing SEO optimised content in a similar role.
• Excellent attention to detail: careful and thorough, gathering complete information. Works well under a formal framework and precise rules. Strives for quality.
• Basic understanding of data analysis, using excel to manipulate and examine data.
• Interest in and knowledge of content marketing best practices.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Open to change and able to adapt to situations. Understands others and works with teams effectively.
• Willing to learn and improve self. Plans own work effectively. Sets priorities and manages resources.
• Building relationships and networking internally and externally.
