Job summary

Acland Burghley School in Wimbledon is seeking an exceptional Lead SEND Practitioner to join the Additional Educational Needs Faculty from January 2027. The post will focus on supporting students facing barriers to learning, especially in communication, SEMH, and cognition and learning needs.

The successful candidate will be an already highly effective teaching assistant, with a track record of improving progress for students with SEND.

Qualifications

• Lead SEND Practitioner role, focus on students with SEND
• Experience in assessment and targeted interventions
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with staff

Responsibilities

• Lead on an area of SEND within the faculty
• Provide high-quality interventions for students with SEMH, C&I and C&L needs
• Mentor and support colleagues to ensure effective inclusion
