Job summary

Camden Learning is seeking a Lead SEND Practitioner to join our Additional Educational Needs Faculty from January 2027. The post focuses on students who face barriers to learning due to communication/interaction or SEMH needs, within a supportive team.

The successful candidate will be an experienced teaching assistant with a proven track record in enabling SEND progress, and will collaborate with SENCo and SEND leaders to deliver high‑quality interventions across the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Experienced teaching assistant with proven SEND progress impact.
• Strong ability to assess, plan support, and work in teams to support SEMH, C&I, and C&L needs.

Responsibilities

• Be the key worker for targeted students and support interventions.
• Develop curriculum understanding and work with faculty teams to share responsibility for student outcomes.
• Collaborate with LSPs, the SENCo, and Inclusion Team to ensure consistent practice.
• Model effective practice and maintain trauma‑informed approaches.
