Job summary

Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a Best Start in Life Senior SEND and Inclusion Practitioner in Gloucestershire. The role supports the Early Intervention and Community Team, supervises part of the team while handling a caseload, and helps deliver inclusive practice across the early years.

The post emphasizes collaboration with parents, practitioners and multi‑agency partners to improve outcomes for 0–5s with additional needs, under a hybrid working pattern and with a two‑year fixed term

Qualifications

• Experience of working directly with children aged 0–5 and their families.
• Strong understanding of child development, inclusion, and early intervention.
• Ability to provide supervision while managing a caseload.

Responsibilities

• Support the Child Development and SEND Lead and team.
• Embed inclusive practice and early intervention across the early years sector.
• Build relationships with parents, practitioners and multi‑agency partners to improve practice.
