Job summary

West Exe School, part of the Ted Wragg Trust, is seeking a Senior Learning Support Assistant at HLTA level to support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs in the classroom.

You will plan and deliver targeted interventions, lead on SEMH strategies, and work closely with teachers and the SEND team, families and external professionals. This is term-time only (39 weeks per year) with safeguarding checks including an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH and ADHD.
• Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding checks.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEMH needs and ADHD in the classroom.
• Plan and deliver interventions for pupils.
• Lead on the area of need for social, emotional and mental health.
• Work with teachers, the SEND team, families and external professionals.
• Build trusting relationships with pupils.
• Develop strategies that help pupils regulate, engage and achieve.
