Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Senior Semantic Engineer to design and implement semantic data frameworks that enable a shared vocabulary across enterprise data. You will build ontologies and knowledge graphs, enforce data quality rules, and collaborate with AI teams to embed semantic models in applications.

The role requires hands-on experience with OWL/RDF, SPARQL, SHACL, and scalable graph databases, plus strong data modelling and integration skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong ontology design and maintenance capabilities using OWL/RDF.
• Proficient in semantic web technologies including OWL, RDF and SPARQL.
• Experience building and maintaining knowledge graphs in an enterprise setting.
• Solid data modelling, data architecture, and integration of heterogeneous data sources.
• Programming experience in Python or Java.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ontologies and knowledge graphs across enterprise data.
• Build and manage enterprise knowledge graphs by linking diverse data sources.
• Create and optimize SPARQL queries and endpoints for advanced search and analytics.
• Implement semantic validation rules (SHACL/OWL constraints) to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams and business stakeholders to align semantic models with needs.
• Stay current with semantic web standards and best practices.
