Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is seeking a Lead Security Risk Assurance Manager in Glasgow to drive enterprise risk assessments and independent assurance across critical services. You will translate security risks into clear business impacts and present concise recommendations to senior stakeholders.

You'll lead assurance activities, challenge assumptions, and build credibility with directors while guiding a team to improve risk posture and resilience across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Experience providing risk assessment or assurance in large, complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• Transferable risk/operational resilience experience is valuable; no mandatory qualifications required.
• Strong ability to influence senior leaders and communicate complex risk clearly.
• Demonstrate curiosity and professional scepticism to test evidence and controls.
• Ability to translate security issues into business impact for service delivery and performance.
• Leadership experience to guide and quality‑assure a team or function.
• Exceptional analytical skills to assess interdependent security or operational problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessment and assurance of DWP's significant security risks with evidence-based recommendations.
• Produce enterprise risk assessments and assurance reports for senior decision-makers.
• Translate complex security issues into practical recommendations affecting service delivery and resilience.
