Job summary

The Maples Group in Leeds is seeking a Senior Security Operations Analyst to monitor, investigate and triage security events across networks, cloud and endpoints. You will participate in threat hunting, support detection automation, and help drive remediation with cross-functional teams.

You’ll bring 5+ years in Security Operations/Incident Response, strong SIEM/EDR experience, and hands-on skills in KQL/SPL, PowerShell and Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Security Operations, SOC or Incident Response in 24x7/global environments.
• Experience across incident response, alert triage, threat hunting and risk analysis.
• Ability to act as incident lead during high-severity events; self-driven and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across network, cloud and endpoints.
• Participate in threat hunting and collaborate to remediate identified risks.
• Support detection engineering, automation and tuning to reduce false positives.
• Assist in vulnerability remediation with reporting and dashboards.
• Provide guidance during investigations and maintain documentation for playbooks.
