National Highways is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager to lead the GRC function within Digital Services. You will translate strategic security direction into a practical tactical plan and ensure governance, risk and assurance activities protect operations and data.

In this hybrid role, two days a week in the office across UK locations; you will lead a team, engage with senior leaders, regulators and suppliers, and drive continuous improvement of GRC processes.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in governance, risk, compliance, audit or cyber security.
• Experience delivering governance, risk management and assurance in complex environments.
• Knowledge of security controls, governance frameworks and regulatory obligations including NIS.
• Ability to translate complex risks into clear reporting and recommendations for senior leaders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with senior leadership, regulators and suppliers.

Responsabilités

• Lead the tactical direction of GRC to meet regulatory and industry expectations.
• Own and maintain the enterprise-wide security risk management framework with the Head of Security Services.
• Provide oversight of regulatory compliance and sector obligations, including NIS engagements.
• Lead second-line security assurance activities and verify security controls and supplier practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of GRC processes, tooling, policies and reporting.
