Job summary

BNY is seeking a Corporate Security Engineering – Engineer to join our team in Manchester or London. You will lead end-to-end security engineering across a global suite of physical security applications and drive the Genetec migration from legacy systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with Genetec, CCure 9000, and Victor Video, plus strong Windows/Linux administration, networking, and scripting skills for automation and integrations.

Qualifications

• Experience in physical security engineering with leadership of global/remote teams.
• Hands-on expertise with major Physical Access Security systems (Genetec, CCure 9000, Victor Video).
• Experience migrating from legacy PACS/CCTV to Genetec including cutover planning and stakeholder coordination.
• Strong Windows and Linux server administration; SQL, PowerShell and Python for automation/API integrations.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPN, firewall).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, identity/access governance, and SIEM integrations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across business and technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end engineering support for security applications.
• Lead migration to Genetec from legacy systems, including architecture and cutover planning.
• Plan and execute system updates, firmware upgrades, and change records; validate rollback plans.
• Support break/fix and incident management within the physical security space.
• Onboard and implement emerging technologies such as biometrics and video analytics.
• Collaborate with Security operations, Network/Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Risk/Compliance, and Facilities.
