Job summary

Made Tech Group is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to own end-to-end security for government delivery pipelines. You will build and tune detection logic across SIEM/detection and log ingestion, translating technical risk into decisions for civil servants and system owners.

This delivery role emphasizes fast security assurance, with hands-on work across Splunk, YARA, EDR, Cribl, Kinesis and data normalisation, while ensuring encryption and least- privilege access across edge architectures.

Qualifications

• Hands-on cloud security experience across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Advanced Splunk (SPL) or equivalent detection tooling.
• Experience with YARA and EDR detection logic.

Responsibilities

• Build & tune detection rules across Splunk, YARA and EDR platforms.
• Map detections to MITRE ATT&CK and manage alert fidelity.
• Validate rules via replay/load tests and red-team scenarios.
• Collaborate with analysts to keep detections grounded in ops.
• Manage log ingestion on Cribl, routing, filtering and normalisation.
• Optimise data volume and manage storage and streaming.
• Apply data standards and encryption, with least- privilege access.
