Job summary

Mixpanel's Information Security Team seeks an experienced security engineer to own detection and response, translating complex telemetry into precise alerting and scalable automation. You will work across Product, Cloud, and Corporate security, coordinating with teams to defend a high-volume SaaS platform.

You will design modern detection, build incident playbooks, and lead investigations during EMEA hours, leveraging Python and AI tools to accelerate context and response across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience operating across core pillars of a modern security program.
• Deep understanding of detection-as-code lifecycle and alerting.
• Ability to manage high-volume daily security tasks across stack.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform security data tools.
• Python development for automation and API integration.

Responsibilities

• Domain Ownership for Detection & Response across product, cloud, and corporate security.
• Translate requirements into milestones and drive cross-functional delivery.
• Architect modern detection within SIEM/SOAR and scalable alerting.
• Develop detection logic and playbooks to mitigate complex threats.
• Lead security incidents during EMEA hours and coordinate investigations.
• Build threat intelligence into SIEM/SOAR logic and automation.
• Ensure telemetry flow for core security stack (SentinelOne, GCPSC, Mimecast Incydr).
