Security Systems Design Engineer | £60,000 + Hybrid Working | London or Bath (or surrounding areas)

We’re looking for a skilled and forward-thinking Senior Level Security Systems Design Engineer to join a leading consultancy that’s redefining the role of electronic security (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, etc.) in the built environment. This is a hybrid working role, with flexibility to be based near London or Bath.

This opportunity goes far beyond conventional security design. The team applies a holistic, risk-based approach to deliver robust and intelligent electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, etc.) for complex, high-profile projects across various sectors including education, cultural venues, airports, stadia, commercial developments, mixed-use sites, and government buildings both in the UK and internationally.

Whether you're coming from an engineering consultancy or a security integrator background, this role offers the chance to work at the forefront of the industry, influencing design outcomes and shaping how technology is integrated into some of the world’s most iconic buildings.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and coordinate the design of electronic security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, etc.) across multidisciplinary project teams.
  2. Prepare technical specifications, design documentation, and system schematics.
  3. Work with industry-standard design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  4. Collaborate with related disciplines including Architecture, Electrical, IT, and Fire.
  5. Contribute to internal R&D and help advance digital design processes.
  6. Research and apply emerging technologies relevant to electronic security.
  7. Drive integration, automation, and innovation within the design approach.
About You:
  • Proven experience in electronic security systems design, ideally within the built environment.
  • Background in consultancy or security integration is welcomed.
  • Familiarity with systems such as CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other Autodesk tools.
  • Able to communicate complex technical ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Eligible for, or currently holding, UK security clearance.
What’s on Offer:
  • A salary of up to £60,000, plus benefits.
  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
  • Exposure to a global portfolio of projects and clients.
  • Opportunities for continued professional development and certification.
  • A collaborative environment working with experts across multiple disciplines.
  • Involvement in R&D and innovation shaping the future of smart and secure design.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and be part of a team that’s redefining the future of electronic security systems design, we’d love to hear from you.
