Role Description:

The Senior Security Behaviour & Culture Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of the organisation’s human risk management strategy. this role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and helping to mitigate the human factors that influence Haleon’s cyber security posture. The Senior

Specialist manages the design and delivery of initiatives that promote secure behaviours, strengthen security culture, and reduce human-related cyber risk across Haleon. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, a data-informed approach, and the ability to translate behavioural insights into practical, engaging interventions that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Human Risk Strategy and Drive Security Culture Change:

  • Support the execution of Haleon’s human risk management strategy by designing and delivering targeted initiatives that address behavioural risk and promote secure practices.
  • Support the development and delivery of programes that embed secure behaviours into everyday working practices across all levels of the organisation.

Design and Deliver Engagement Initiatives:

  • Create and implement engaging campaigns, events, and communications that promote cyber security awareness.
  • Use behavioural science techniques (e.g., nudges, gamification, storytelling) to influence secure decision-making.
  • Tailor messaging and interventions to different audiences and risk profiles.

Support Training and Awareness Activities:

  • Collaborate on the development of targeted training materials (e.g., e-learning, videos, workshops).
  • Manage the security ambassador network and empower local champions through providing informal guidance to ambassadors, helping to build capability and consistency in human risk messaging and delivery.

Manage, Measure and Improve Security Behaviours:

  • Help track and update the register of key human risks, including behaviours, attitudes, and knowledge gaps.
  • Collect and analyse data on behavioural change and cultural maturity.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve programme effectiveness.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of human risk interventions using qualitative and quantitative metrics. Provide regular reports and recommendations to the Security Behaviours & Culture Lead.

Collaborate Across the Business:

  • Work closely with HR, Communications, Digital & Tech, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of security culture initiatives

Stay informed of emerging trends, tools, and best practices in cyber security human risk management, culture change, behavioural science, and organisational change. Apply learnings to enhance programe impact

Qualifications and Skills

Essential:

  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a role focused on behaviour change, organisational culture, cyber security awareness, or employee engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, such as cyber/information security, psychology/behavioural science, engineering or communications.
  • Professional certification in human risk management, cyber security, or related fields, such as SANS Security Awareness Professional (SSAP), Infosec Certified Security Awareness Practitioner (CSAP), NICCS Certified Cybersecurity Awareness Professional (CCAP), CISSP, CISM.
  • While certifications are not mandatory, a demonstrable commitment to professional development in cyber security human risk management or behavioural change is expected.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the following disciplines:
  • Behavioural Science or Psychology
  • Cyber Security or Information Security
  • Communications, Learning & Development, or Organisational Change
  • A master’s degree in a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar role within a mid-to-large organisation.
  • Experience applying behavioural science or change management frameworks (e.g., COM-B, ADKAR, Nudge Theory).
