Job summary

Scrumconnect Consulting is seeking a Senior Security Architect to assess and define the baseline security architecture underpinning a major government programme. This is a hands-on role, evaluating options, surfacing risks, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations that shape security at scale across local, regional, and national delivery models. The role is hybrid with occasional client-site travel.

Active SC Clearance is mandatory. Start date ASAP.

Qualifications

• Active SC Clearance is mandatory for this role.
• Senior Security Architect with large-scale, multi-tier delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft security tooling, SIEM, and identity services.
• Experience assessing centralisation risk and multi-tenant/shared service architectures.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and UK government security frameworks.
• Experience working in public sector or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess baseline security architecture requirements across the programme
• Evaluate architecture options for local, regional and national delivery models
• Assess security tooling dependencies, with focus on Microsoft security, SIEM, and identity services
• Identify architectural risks associated with centralisation
• Assess technical feasibility of proposed approaches
• Assess multi-tenant and shared service approaches
• Identify dependencies and technical constraints across the architecture
• Produce clear, well-evidenced architecture recommendations
• Map Microsoft Suite alignment to the CAF and wider government security frameworks
