Placements24 is seeking an experienced Security Architect to design and oversee secure IT infrastructure in East London. You will shape the organization's security blueprint, embedding security into all technology solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role offers strategic influence, leadership across projects, and exposure to cutting-edge security challenges in a growing enterprise within the Eastern Cape.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 8+ years of information security experience with focus on security architecture.
• Experience designing secure architectures for cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise-level IT architectures, including network, cloud, and application security.
• Establish security standards, guidelines, and best practices for technology solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions to meet business needs and mitigate risks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on security matters to project teams and stakeholders.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed architectures and systems.
• Develop and maintain security reference architectures and design patterns.
• Stay informed about emerging security threats, technologies, and architectural trends.
