Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK invites engineers to join the TEMPEST team, delivering next‑generation combat air capability. You will design, build and integrate secure mission computing, working with industry leaders to push AI, model-based engineering and secure computing innovations.

You will lead security architecture, define secure requirements and drive threat modelling, accreditation and cyber resilience, contributing to sovereign UK defence capabilities and international

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Secure by Design and product security standards.
• Security architecture and cryptography expertise.
• Demonstrated motivation, integrity, and professionalism.
• Flexibility, innovation, and delivery focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AI/ML models is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead security architecture for GCAP mission systems.
• Define security requirements and secure-by-design approaches.
• Lead threat modelling, risk assessment and accreditation activities.
• Provide technical leadership across cyber resilience and secure mission computing.
• Develop technologies that will shape combat aviation for decades to come.
• Collaborate with world-leading engineers across industry, government and academia.
• Contribute to sovereign UK defence capability and international collaboration.
