Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK seeks an engineer to join the TEMPEST team delivering the UK's 6th generation fighter capabilities. You will design, build and integrate the next generation of combat air capability, collaborating with world‑class engineers to push breakthroughs in AI, digital model-based engineering and computing.

Qualifications

• Experience as Project Lead Engineer or Domain Lead Engineer
• Understanding of multi-disciplines in delivering projects
• Familiarity with Avionic System Engineering challenges
• Chartered Engineer status desirable, support for CEng
• Experience with AI/ML models preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering scope on time and within budget for one or more projects
• Lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver industry-leading solutions
• Define and develop solutions to evolving customer needs
• Collaborate with world‑leading engineers across industry, government and academia
• Contribute to sovereign UK defence capability and international collaboration
