Senior Security and IAM Analyst
Rate: £450 - 550 per day
IR35: In scope
Duration: 6 months
Location: Leeds (2 days) / Remote (3 days)
Reporting into the IT Risk & Security Lead. In light of the increased cyber-security environment, work with a dedicated IT Risk and Security team and other stakeholders to provide security dependencies across multiple bank requirements. Focus primarily on leading the design, development, and implementation of Identity and Access Management (JML/RBAC) in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment, and support other IT security functions such as cyber risk mitigation, incident response, and BAU security activities.

Core role accountabilities

1. Lead and deliver the design, development, and implementation of IAM in a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
2. Manage role-based access control (RBAC) analysis and policy definition.
3. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including third-party and partner organizations, to implement policies and controls related to JML/RBAC securely.
4. Support identity lifecycle management within joiner, mover, and leaver processes.
5. Implement best practices in IAM.
6. Understand technical IAM aspects and communicate effectively with business teams.
7. Contribute to other IT security policies and functions as needed.
8. Stay informed about emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies.
9. Keep abreast of new tools and technologies to enhance cyber resilience and information security.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Experience with IAM implementations in Microsoft environments (Azure AD/Entra ID).
• Deep understanding of JML/RBAC principles and their implementation across Microsoft platforms (SharePoint, Azure, etc.).
• Experience with identity governance and management tools.
• Knowledge of industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and Cyber Essentials.
• Strong data security principles application skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, investigation, and diagnostic skills, with the ability to communicate solutions clearly in business terms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Capability to produce detailed, clear documentation.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant professional certifications in Microsoft Azure/M365 technologies.
• Understanding of Data Protection responsibilities and practices.
• Facilitation skills and experience.
• Experience working with multiple managed service providers.
• Knowledge of business processes within financial services.
• Potential to provide security guidance across other bank workstreams.
