Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Staff Software Automation Engineer (SDET) to join the Identity Authentication engineering team. You will define automation strategy, build scalable test infrastructure, and empower teams to deliver secure SaaS services.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering, SDET, or quality engineering experience.
• Experience designing and building automation frameworks at scale.
• Strong programming skills in multiple languages.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute automation strategy for identity services and domains.
• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks for API, UI, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Own quality engineering infrastructure and optimize tools for development teams.
• Improve test coverage, CI/CD integration, and quality gates.
• Lead complex debugging across distributed, cloud-native environments.
• Mentor engineers to foster automation and ownership.
