Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a senior security architect to own the global network security blueprint and governance across hybrid environments. You will lead policies, segmentation, and automation, partnering with security, infrastructure, and IT teams to mitigate threats.

The role requires deep Zero Trust expertise, extensive experience with large-scale networks, and a strong automation-first mindset using Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines. Preference for SF Bay Area-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework and 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking and network security engineering.
• Deep expertise in Zero Trust architecture and design of massive, global hybrid-cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, or GCP with on-prem).
• Automation-first environment with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with AI/ML tools to simplify operations and build auto-healing capabilities.
• Knowledge of AI/LLM architectures, including data flows, APIs, and model integration, with strong security governance.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural blueprint and governance for the global network security footprint, ensuring scalability across hybrid environments.
• Define, develop, and enforce enterprise-wide security policies including segmentation and access control.
• Drive integration of security into all layers of network design and collaborate with security, infra and IT teams.
• Identify vulnerabilities and lead remediation across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Leverage Palo Alto Networks products and third-party platforms to enhance network visibility and threat intelligence.
• Advance network security automation using scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
