Job summary

Dentro Talent Ltd in Birmingham is recruiting an SDET to join the IT development team on a hybrid basis (2 days in the office). This hands-on role focuses on building and maintaining automated test frameworks and suites behind core applications and systems.

You will cover functional, integration, regression, API and end-to-end testing, plus some performance and load testing, and oversee testing within CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with developers, BAs and project managers in an Agile

Qualifications

• Experience designing and building automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs and distributed systems.
• Automated testing of REST and SOAP APIs.
• SQL and relational database experience.
• Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and Git for source control.
• A good understanding of TDD and BDD.
• Defect management, root cause analysis and test reporting.
• An understanding of secure development and OWASP principles.
• Ability to talk comfortably with both technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks and suites behind applications and systems.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, API and end-to-end testing, plus performance/load testing.
• Look after testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate in an Agile team with developers, BAs and project managers to agree test approaches and acceptance criteria.
