Role: Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner

Location: The London Bridge Hospital

Contract Type: Permanent, Full time,

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday & Occasional Saturdays

Shifts: 7:00am-15:00pm & 13:00-21:00pm

We are looking for a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner with Spinal experience to join our London Bridge Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.

What you will do:

To work as an integral part of the clinical team to provide a high standard of patient centred care meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues

Participate fully as a team member, including working in specific areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives

Assessing, planning, delivering and evaluation of peri-operative patient care

Respecting all patient’s dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs

Conduct mandatory patient safety checks including, but not limited to WHO checklist process, consent, patient’s identity and operative site against the supporting documentation, prior to the start of the procedure

Take appropriate actions to manage any arising complications of surgery through contingency planning.- senior skill

What you will bring:

Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner

HCPC Registered or NMC Registration / NMC Pin

2 years experience working as a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner in Operating Theatre

Experience working with 1 or 2 Complex spinal cases including: ALIF, Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion, TLIF-Transforaminal, XLIF-eXtreme Lateral Interbody Fusion, Intradural Lesions

Orthopaedic experience (Ideal, not essential)

Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and confident to support the theatre team.
