The New Foscote Hospital, part of the Akessa Health Care Group, is seeking an experienced ODP or scrub nurse to join our team in Banbury. This full-time, permanent position stems from long-standing retirement and offers a chance to work in laminar flow operating rooms within a highly reputable organisation.

Competenze

• NMC or HCPC registration is essential.
• Experience as Senior Scrub Practitioner in all types of surgery, including orthopaedics.
• Surgical First Assistant qualification is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work flexibly and stay calm under urgent situations.
• Ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Mansioni

• Assist the Theatre Manager and Deputy in delivering patient care within the theatre.
• Provide skilled assistance to the surgeons.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering pre- and post-operative care.
• Provide guidance and clinical leadership to the Theatre team and optimise resources.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise to improve service for patients.
• Ensure theatre is prepared daily per quality standards.
• Maintain documentation and ensure investigations/records are accurate.
• Oversee medicines administration and management as required.
• Coordinate stock levels of drugs, stores and implants with Theatre Manager/Procurement.
• Maintain effective communication across the Hospital with patients, staff and Consultants.
