We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and dynamic individual to take on the role of Senior Scrub Practitioner to provide leadership, management and support to the scrub team and who is responsible for providing a high standard of evidence based patient focused individualised care.
We are opening two new theatres in our New Elective Centre to provide High Volume Low Complexity cases in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Gynaecology and General Surgery. At present we have nine theatres specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Urology, HANS, Ear Nose & Throat, Dental and Max-fax. The successful candidate will be rotated through the different specialties, spending time in each to gain experience.
The successful candidates must be enthusiastic, empathetic, professional and looking for an opportunity to join a hard-working dedicated team.
The post holder will ensure that patients receive the necessary care and treatment intraoperatively and postoperatively. This will be achieved through the application of specialist knowledge, skills and practice.
This role requires close working relationships with a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, including the Consultants, Deputy Chief Nurse, Head of Nursing, Matrons, and junior team members. To succeed in this role you will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations in a fast paced environment in a professional and calm manner.
