Senior Bioanalytical Scientist - Triple quadruple MS - biotech in London

We are seeking a Senior Bioanalytical Scientist with proven expertise in UPLC coupled with triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (ESI), to join a small biotech in London. This is a hands-on, lab-based position in a fully regulated environment supporting high-integrity, high-sensitivity bioanalytical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot UPLC-MS/MS instrumentation (ideally Waters)
  • Develop and validate robust, sensitive bioanalytical methods for complex biological matrices
  • Perform quantitative analysis in accordance with GLP/GCLP and sponsor-specific protocols
  • Ensure data quality, reproducibility, and full compliance with regulatory documentation standards
  • Contribute to the delivery of client projects within a collaborative, scientifically rigorous environment

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience with UPLC and triple quadrupole mass spectrometry using electrospray ionization (ESI)
  • Hands-on use of Waters systems (e.g., Xevo TQ, MassLynx) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with GLP and/or GCLP requirements and regulated laboratory workflows
  • Strong understanding of method development, sample preparation, and assay validation
  • Must have the right to work in the UK

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a scientific field
  • Postgraduate qualification (MSc/PhD) is but not required if supported by substantial practical experience
