Job description

Senior Scientist, Pharmacometrics

Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Scoping program questions and developing modeling and simulation strategies for clinical programs.
• Analyzing and reporting of population pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic, exposure-response, and disease progression models.
• Applying simulation methods to support dose selection, trial design, and Go/No-Go decisions.
• Partnering effectively with clinical, biostatistics, DMPK, health economics, and regulatory departments.
• Participating in the preparation of reports, abstracts, manuscripts for publications and regulatory documents.

Qualifications

Education: Candidates with a Ph.D. in pharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, biostatistics, engineering disciplines, or related quantitative fields.

Experience: At least 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience in the pharmaceutical industry or regulatory agency, with hands-on modeling experience and application of pharmacometrics in drug development.

Special Skills/Abilities:

• Proficiency in R programming and non-linear mixed effects modeling software like NONMEM.
• Understanding of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles and drug development processes.
• Experience programming clinical data sets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of hierarchical modeling of longitudinal data and Bayesian methods.
• Understanding of system pharmacology models.

Supervision: Motivated, collaborative, and independent individual capable of multi-tasking, with occasional travel.
