Cancer Research UK’s Drug Discovery team is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Scientist to lead in designing, prosecuting, and analyzing biochemical assays, including bespoke mechanistic data and High Throughput Screening activities.
This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Senior Scientist to lead drug discovery projects, collaborate with academic PIs and partners, and contribute to the development of HTS strategies using automated robotics systems. The team is multidisciplinary, providing ample opportunities for learning, cross-training, and development. We also encourage participation in conferences, poster presentations, talks, and publications.

What will I be doing?
This laboratory-based role focuses on designing and developing physiologically relevant biochemical assays in 384 and 1536 well formats to characterize cancer targets, enable high-throughput screening, analyze structure-activity relationships, and understand mechanisms of action to inform clinical decisions.
The successful candidate will stay abreast of cutting-edge biochemistry, enzymology, and HTS science, working closely with industry and academic partners to advance cancer targets towards patient benefit.
