Full Time, Permanent Role

Do you have hands-on experience designing and running in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays within industry or a CRO? Do you have prior experience meeting experimental deadlines set by clients?

We have an exciting opportunity to join a drug discovery company in Nottingham, focused on receptor pharmacology. You will be supporting diverse client projects in cutting-edge drug discovery programs.

The Role

As a member of the receptor pharmacology team, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and performing in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays,
  • Providing high-quality data to support drug discovery projects,
  • Managing experiments and training junior team members,
  • Working closely with clients and the team to solve complex research problems,
  • Contributing to research publications and presenting findings at scientific meetings.

Current / Recent Experience Required:

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • At least 2 years of industry / CRO experience performing in vitro biochemical or cell-based assays (essential).
  • Hands-on experience with in vitro molecular biology techniques – such as cell culture, PCR, western blotting, and flow cytometry (essential).
  • Expertise in GPCR pharmacology (desirable).
  • PhD or BSc / MSc in receptor pharmacology (desirable).
  • Expertise in pharmacology laboratory techniques, including binding assays, SPR assays, radioligand binding, reporter gene assays (desirable).

Profile Required:

  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • Happy to commute / relocate to Nottingham (essential).
