Salary:

Likely in the £45,000-£55,000 range depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and execute R&D projects to develop advanced energy storage solutions.
• Lead projects to adapt and improve current technologies.
• Support materials research and testing using advanced electrochemical techniques.
• Prepare reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Maintain safety standards and proper equipment use.

Requirements:

• PhD in Electrochemistry, Material Science, or Energy Technologies.
• 1-5 years of industrial or post-doctoral R&D experience.
• Expertise in electrochemical cell design, batteries, supercapacitors, and energy storage systems.
• Experience with carbon-based electrode materials and physical characterisation techniques.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.
• Supervisory experience is a plus but not essential.
• Passion for renewable energy and innovative problem-solving.
