We are seeking a Senior Scientist responsible for developing and scaling up new downstream processes for biologics manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities and Experience:

1. Design, execute, and deliver multiple projects.
2. Have at least 5 years of industry or relevant experience in purification experimental work, including chromatography, ultrafiltration, diafiltration, and high throughput screening.
3. Successfully lead continuous improvement projects.
4. Escalate technical and customer issues promptly.
5. Review and interpret raw data to produce quality process knowledge.
6. Write reports to a publication standard.
7. Represent the department in multi-disciplinary customer project teams and externally for Lonza.
8. Possess specialist knowledge in protein purification.
9. Provide scientific input into customer proposals and support sales activities.
10. Coach, mentor, and train junior team members.
11. Initiate problem-solving and troubleshooting activities.
12. Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota to respond to alarms on cold storage units.
