At BioAscent, we’re expanding our In Silico Discovery team because of our passion for science and the trust of our customers.

The role:

You will collaborate with innovative research companies worldwide, applying your computational chemistry and data analysis skills to help discover new medicines.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team working on diverse projects, from hit identification to preclinical and clinical candidates across various biological targets and therapeutic areas.

Within smaller, integrated teams, you'll have more involvement in projects and opportunities for direct collaboration with customers.

Our growth offers chances to learn, develop, and lead projects, shaping our commercial strategies.

About you

You should have a solid knowledge of modelling programs (like ICM Pro, MOE, Schrödinger), computational techniques, data visualization tools (e.g., Dotmatics Vortex), and pipelining tools (e.g., Knime) used in drug discovery.

Skills and experience:

  • Ph.D. in computational chemistry, cheminformatics, or related field
  • Experience in a drug design environment (Pharma, CRO, Biotech, etc.) is required; applications from various experience levels are encouraged
  • Proven skills in computer-assisted drug design using modelling and computational software
  • Experience with structure-based and ligand-based methodologies
  • Machine learning experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with chemists, biologists, and cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python)
  • Good understanding of UNIX/Linux, queueing systems, and cloud computing
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Keep up-to-date with computational chemistry methods applicable to drug design
  • Basic medicinal chemistry knowledge is preferred
