Job description

Job Description

Senior Scientist – Gene Therapy // Nanoparticle Drug Delivery // Cambridge

You are an expert in gene therapies and assay development.

Why have you developed this expertise? Was it to develop the next of therapeutics to patients suffering from real unmet need (such as CNS diseases, immunological diseases, cystic fibrosis, or cancer)?

We are working with a Cambridge-based start-up (which has announced a large financial raise & partnerships with big pharma) developing polymer nanoparticles for gene therapy drug delivery. They are looking for a Senior Scientist to lead lab-based and translational research into their PNPs and the gene therapies they deliver (mRNA, siRNA, etc). Their nanoparticles have a proven capability to penetrate difficult biological barriers, target specific cell-types and release genetic payloads intracellular. Their proprietary technology has demonstrated exceptionally low immunogenicity and has the potential to revolutionise gene therapy for patients.

You will develop their cell & molecular assays, and test their gene therapies efficacy, potency, and immunogenicity. You will also manage CROs and collaborate with multidisciplinary scientists internally and externally. Your work will be very visible to senior leadership.

You will have real ownership over your research and opportunities for growth and development.

If you are an gene therapy expert with experience developing ‘in-vitro’ molecular and cell based assays and preferably ‘in-vivo’ studies and are looking for an opportunity to revolutionise gene therapy, apply online here or reach out to isaac@singulartalent.io

We look forward to hearing from you!
