Job summary

Novartis in London is seeking a Senior Scientific Engagement & Program Manager to coordinate and deliver high-quality medical engagements across oncology, cardiovascular, renal, neuroscience, and immunology areas. You will translate strategies into operational plans, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure compliant, audit-ready execution.

The role reports to the Scientific Engagement Lead and offers a hybrid work arrangement with a competitive base salary and performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: BSc or equivalent. MSc/PhD/PharmD/MD desirable.
• Significant experience in scientific engagement delivery and program/project management in pharma or life sciences, incl. 5+ years coordinating such activities.
• Experience managing multiple projects with strong organizational skills and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute medical and scientific engagement activities (advisory boards, congresses, EEEs, standalone meetings, education programs).
• Translate strategies into operational plans, timelines, and deliverables across programs, brands, and therapeutic areas.
• Lead day-to-day project planning, milestones, logistics, and readiness for scientific events.
• Partner with IMA and cross-functional teams to clarify objectives and drive execution.
• Maintain communication with internal teams and external partners to share updates, flag risks, and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Apply standardized ways of working and governance across engagements.
• Ensure compliant, audit-ready execution following SOPs and approved pathways.
• Manage relationships with vendors and budgets, monitoring quality and timelines.
• Identify risks and resolve issues in collaboration with project teams to maintain momentum.
