Job summary

St George's Academy is seeking a dedicated Science Technician to support the Science Department at the Sleaford Campus, with occasional duties at the Ruskington campus. You will assist the Senior Science Technician, supervise junior staff, and help with displays and practical activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, a minimum of two GCSEs including English and Maths (9-4/A-C), and a strong health and safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Health and Safety knowledge is essential.
• Minimum of 2 GCSEs including English and Maths (grades 9-4 / A-C) or equivalent, with willingness to work towards these qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day supervision of Junior Assistant Science Technician.
• Maintain and clean equipment; pre-class preparation for displays and exercises.
• Trial practical activities; ensure materials are available for staff and work areas are tidy.
