About the school

Brentside is a popular and vibrant 11-19 mixed, multi-ethnic comprehensive school with 1600 students. We are seeking a Senior Science Technician to join our diverse and harmonious learning community.

Role overview
  • Lead a team of 3 technicians and undertake annual performance management of the Science support team.
  • Support Science curriculum activities, including ordering, preparing, and setting out materials and equipment, assisting staff and students during lessons, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.
  • Support the whole-school STEM club with practical requisitions.
  • Participate in Open Evenings.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines.
  • Perform departmental administration tasks as directed by the Director of Science.
Department information

The science department offers a full range of courses, including A Level sciences, in 13 well-equipped laboratories. The successful candidate will join a committed team supporting students in achieving excellent progress in science.
