A leading education support agency in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to lead the Science technician team and support practical science lessons. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a secondary school and strong knowledge of health and safety requirements. Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Science Technician in a secondary school.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up experiments for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and stock.
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities.
  • Ensure health & safety compliance in all science labs.
  • Train and supervise junior technicians where applicable.

Skills

Location: Manchester

Start Date: 3rd November start

Contract: Full-time, Ongoing

Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00 - 15:30

Pay: 132.09 per day

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Science technician team, support teaching staff, and ensure the smooth running of practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.

About the Role:

  • Prepare and set up experiments for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and stock
  • Support teachers and students during practical activities
  • Ensure health & safety compliance in all science labs
  • Train and supervise junior technicians where applicable
