Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Senior Java/Scala Developer to join the Equity Swaps Trading Technology team in ESTAR, focusing on Scala-based processing engines for Regulatory Reporting in a capital markets setting.

You will support global OTC Equity Swap Portfolio reporting, with opportunities to work across front, middle, and back-office systems. A strong Java background is valued, with support for learning Scala in a dynamic, global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Engineering/Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong Java and Scala experience in capital markets / regulatory reporting.
• Experience with MQ/Kafka and Unix/Linux environments.
• Ability to learn Scala from Java background.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Scala-based regulatory reporting systems in a capital markets environment.
• Build enhancements for intraday and end-of-day reporting, including testing and deployment.
• Own complex problems and deliver key features with stakeholders.
