London Stock Exchange is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join our engineering team. You will build and enhance backend systems that support FX trading, focusing on speed, reliability, and scalability.

You will collaborate with engineers, product partners, and operations, own features from development through production, write automated tests, and contribute to continuous delivery and secure coding practices.

Qualifications

• Experience developing backend systems in a professional environment.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Familiarity with development tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of system performance and concurrency.
• Experience working with Java.
• Ownership mindset and collaborative teamwork.
• Experience in trading or financial systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with messaging protocols (e.g. FIX).
