Job summary

Nexos is seeking a Senior Control Systems & SCADA Engineer in the UK to lead design and integration of microgrid, power management, and automation solutions. The role focuses on integrating generators, renewables, and battery energy storage into reliable, high-availability platforms.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in control systems and automation engineering, with strong PLC/SCADA experience and familiarity with Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens, Rockwell, AVEVA, or Ignition.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical, Control Systems, Automation, or Electronic Engineering.
• 7+ years' experience in control systems and automation engineering.
• Strong experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial communications.
• Expertise in power systems, battery storage, renewable integration, and microgrids.
• Experience with Beckhoff TwinCAT, Siemens, Rockwell, AVEVA, Ignition, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of high-availability systems, redundancy, and cybersecurity principles.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop control philosophies, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), PLC software, and SCADA systems for mission-critical environments.
• Lead the integration of power generation, battery storage, renewables, and control systems.
• Ensure reliability, cybersecurity, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-availability automation solutions.

The Role
