Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Control Engineer to join a growing electricity distribution business in a home-based role. You will oversee the safe operation of LV and HV networks, coordinate switching and fault response, and support contractors and stakeholders to meet operational requirements.

The ideal candidate holds SAP authorisation, has 11kV network experience, and can train teams while working remotely, reducing travel without compromising safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation and practical SAP experience.
• Experience working on 11kV electricity networks.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety rules and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the safe and efficient operation of LV and HV networks.
• Coordinate network operations, including supply restoration, switching activities and fault response.
• Work closely with contractors, ICPs, developers and other stakeholders to support operational requirements.
• Oversee network activities and ensure appropriate safety procedures and documentation.
• Maintain accurate operational records, network logs and safety documentation.
• Support the development and maintenance of operational procedures, safety rules and working practices.
• Monitor network configuration and drawings, supporting the effective management of the network.
• Provide guidance and support to operational teams and contribute to training and competency development.
