The AWS Specialist Team is composed of deep domain experts who work directly with customers to solve their most complex challenges. We are part of the Account Team, responsible for account planning, opportunity identification, and pursuit. We stay closely connected to our customers and bring valuable data and insights to our product teams, thereby strengthening the product roadmap.

Our team excels when a customer is thinking big and requires specialized experience to innovate for their business.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth across the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including the public sector.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Accelerate customer adoption by defining and implementing tech domain-specific GTM strategies within your assigned accounts and technology domain, leveraging AWS Sales and our partner ecosystem.
  2. Ideate with Lines of Business and C-suite leaders, building trust through your deep technical expertise, and follow through to solve their most compelling business problems.
  3. Act as the front line within your accounts for all specialist customer engagement in your tech domain.
  4. Create and articulate compelling value propositions that address specific customer needs.
  5. Build and innovate: Co-develop GTM motions on new product launches and collaborate with product teams on creating innovative new services.
  6. Partner with the world's biggest system integrators to deliver on customer projects.

About the team

The Worldwide Specialist Organization CXE (Customer Experience Engagement) team aims to position AWS as the best platform for contact center workloads, helping customers migrate and operate contact centers on AWS securely and reliably.

As an Area Specialist, you will define and execute area-specific GTM strategies for CXE services to expand adoption within customer portfolios, focusing on Amazon Connect and related services.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting expertise
  • Solid Contact Center technology domain experience
  • English language proficiency
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical audiences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Track record as a credible technology advisor to customer executives and Line of Business Leaders
  • Success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners
  • Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment with developing and executing growth initiatives
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms
